Instructional Design
My Design Process
Analyze
First in the design process, I will have a kickoff meeting with business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs). We will collaborate together to analyze the learning or performance gaps and needs of the company. I must understand who the targeted learners are, where their level of learning or performance is currently at, and the outcome learners will be able to achieve to be successful at the end of the training.
Design
Next in the design process, I will create a Design Document where the plan for learning will be outlined. Included in the Design Document will be the purpose of the course, audience and course length, training recommendation (eLearning, vILT, etc), deliverables, learing objectives, outline of training and an assessment plan.
Please see some samples of Design Documents below.

Paddle Boarding
All stakeholders will have time to review documents and any necessary changes will be collaborated on together.
Next, I will design a Storyboard which will lay out each slide of eLearning with visual elements, text, script and animations in a very detailed and concise manner. The storyboard will go through a review process to reach an agreed upon result.

Develop
Learning Materials will be developed and go through an iterate process of Alpha, Beta and Gold stages. Final learning materials will be ready to present to learners to gain desired outcomes to reach business goals.

Evaluate
The last step of the design process is to evaluate the course after learners have completed to make sure the behavior or learning gap was closed and the business goals are met.
